Our Identity

Who Are the Yellow Bin?

1 Our Origins

In line with the government's "Green Our Home" campaign to uplift the awareness amongst public on the importance of environmental conservation, as well as lending a helping hand to the needy in our society, Yellow Bin was set up to collect recyclables from public.

2 Our Mission

The Yellow Bin mission is to maintain a prosperous and productive recycling system that is committed to the conservation of natural resources. In conjunction with source reduction, reuse, and composting, the recycling of valuable materials is essential to a sustainable environmental, energy, and economic future.

3 Our Commitment

Recycling is a shared responsibility and requires citizen engagement. Yellow Bin promotes the concept of environmental protection, narrows the large carbon footprints, provides a second chance to growing waste, and cuts down the usage of landfill.

4 Government Recognition

We are honoured by the support of the various governing bodies and we endeavour to do our best in both recycling and charity works!

We are proud to be the only social enterprise in Johor Bahru recognized and authorized by JB, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Pasir Gudang, Yong Peng, Batu Pahat, Simpang Renggam, Kluang City Council, as well as JPSPN, JPBD, MPJBT, KPKT, PPSPPA and MaGIC to carry out recycling activities.

Our Purpose

Why Yellow Bin?

1 Give Trash a New Life

Yellow Bin is a non-religious eco project. The recycling team collects recyclables in all residential settlements in the state of Selangor, KL, Malacca and Johor. While we can significantly help to conserve our living environment, we are raising the awareness amongst the public on the impact of global warming. The proceeds we generate from the on-going recycling campaigns will be channeled to fund the various charitable projects in Malaysia.

2 Recycle to Help

Yellow Bin Recycling Team organizes various events such as "Go Eco Campaign", "Yellow Bin Seminar", "Yellow Bin Fun Day", etc… in residential areas, schools and shopping malls to encourage community participation in social services and environmental protection.

3 It's Our Mission to Go Green

In consideration of expanding the area of environmental protection, as well as increasing the engagement from the public, more than 300 Yellow Bins have been placed in shopping malls, office buildings, apartments, residential areas and schools. To date, there had been more than 200,000 people who had participated in this meaningful activity.
